Operation Respect SO-003-09 NEW

SO-003-09 NEW SHIRT

SPECIAL OCCASION – OPERATION RESPECT

About six years ago I had to make a business visit to the United States.. I ended up in Philadelphia and had to take the train. I walked into 30th Street Station to be greeted by one of the most impressive remembrance statues I have even seen. The statue was of an Angel and a Soldier. The Inscription reads as follows:

front: In memory of the men and women of the Pennsylvania Railroad who laid down their lives for our country 1941-1945.

back: That all travelers here may remember those of the Pennsylvania Railroad who did not return from the Second World War.

On my return to England, I researched this statue and found it was 40ft high and cast in Bronze. The Artist was Walker Kirtland Hancock. We have modified the original upright wings to compliment the t-shirt design. Our design was sketched from old pictures. If you ever get the chance to see this magnificent statue than I suggest you go and see it. The original is a master piece. On the left of the Angel we have added the famous poem written by Theodore O’Hare titled the “Bivouac of the Dead”. We have only used two versus of this poem. You will find this poem in every US Military Cemetery.

On the back of the Shirt we have added a small tribute Poppy with the a famous versus from the poem “For the Fallen” written by Laurence Binyon.

OLD School Royal Navy Shirts NOW Available

The Royal Navy was originally formed in 897 by King Alfred to ward off the invading Vikings from the North. This shirt is a typical NoLimitz Classic. The design centre piece is the Skull. The Skull is surrounded by two fouled anchors. The spray of the sea can also be seen above each anchor.
The Royal Navy is the Senior Service within the British Military system and over the last 1000 years has played a commanding role in the development of the British Empire. This is a classic shirt designed to honor all who served within the “Andrew”. We had to obviously make a clear distinction between the NoLimitz brand and the Old Navy brand in the United States. Hence the title “Old School Royal Navy”.
Each Classic shirt also comes with a bottom left design on the front of the shirt. This design is Latin and used to cement the ideology of this classic military range. In Latin it says “Virtus junxit, mors non separabit” which when translated to English is “Virtue as United, Death will not Separate”.

This would make an ideal gift for any Old School Navy guy. This is an ideal gift for any serving or ex Royal Navy Guy. They would be proud to wear it.

10% of the sale price of this shirt will be donated to the SSAFA.
